Ram Ladoo - Delhi's Famous Street Food



Ingredients

  • 1 cup Moong Dal
  • 1/4 Cup Chana Dal
  • 1 medium Onion (Chopped)
  • Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Pinch Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated Radish for Garnishing
  • Coriander-Mint Chutney for Garnishing

Method:

  1. Soak both moong dal and chana dal overnight. Grind it to make paste by adding water. (Do not grind too much)
  2. Now whisk dal batter continuously for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Now add all the ingredients except baking soda in the batter one by one.
  4. Mix all the ingredients.
  5. Now add baking soda and whisk well.
  6. Now deep fry ram ladoo on medium flame till golden brown.
  7. Now remove ram ladoo from oil and place it on paper napkin to remove excess oil.
  8. Finally garnish it with  grated radish and chutney.
  9. Serve with tea.
