Ingredients:
- Cottage Cheese (Paneer) - 100 gm (Cut in cubes and shallow fried)
- Green Peas - 1 Cup (Shallow Fried)
- 2-3 Tbsp Oil
- 1 Bay Leaf
- Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli Paste (1 Inch piece of Ginger,5-6 Cloves of Garlic,1 Green Chilli)
- 2 Medium Onions (Paste)
- 3 Medium Tomatoes (Puree)
- Dry Spices- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder, 1 tsp Degi Mirch. 1 Tbsp Coriander Powder, 1/2 tsp Garam masala, 1 tsp Sabji Masala, Salt to Taste
- 1 tbsp Curd + 2 tbsp Cream (Whisked together)
- Coriander Leaves - For Garnish
Method:
- Heat 2-3 tbsp oil in a wok and add 1 bay leaf in it.
- Then add Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli Paste and fry for few minutes.
- Now add Onion paste and fry for 2 minutes on high flame.
- Then add Tomato Puree in it and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add dry spices (Turmeric Powder, Degi Mirch, Coriander Powder and Garam Masala).
- Mix well and saute for 2 minutes.
- Now add mixture of Curd and Fresh Cream. Stir well and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped fresh coriander leaves and mix well. It will enhance the flavor.
- Now add about 1-1/2 bowl water in it or as per your preference .
- Then add salt to taste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Now add shallow fried Green Peas and mix well.
- Then add Sabji Masala and let it cook for few minutes.
- Finally add Cottage Cheese Cubes in the gravy and let it cook for few minutes.
- Matar Paneer is ready. Serve hot with Rice, Chapati or Naan
