Spinach Kofta is a delicious vegetarian main course dish. Spinach kofta can be served with Roti, Naan, Paratha or rice. Its a very tasty and healthy recipe.
Ingredients:
For Kofta:
- 1 Bowl Spinach (Chopped)
- 3 Medium Potato (Boiled and Mashed)
- 3 tbsp Chickpea Flour
- 2 Tbsp Almond and Cashew nut (Chopped)
- 1 Tbsp Raisins
- 1 Tsp Cardamom Powder
For Gravy:
- 2 Medium Onion, 5-6 Cloves of Garlic and 1 inch Ginger (Paste)
- 2 Tomato (Puree)
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 Tsp Garam Masala
- 1 Tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
- Salt to taste
Method:
For Kofta
- Boil Spinach in salted water and keep aside.
- Take boiled spinach in a bowl and add boiled potato,chickpea flour, cardamom powder and salt. Mix well.
- Now apply oil on hand and spread small quantity of mixture. Place almond-cashew nuts-raisins in it and roll to form a ball.
- Koftas are ready. Now we'll deep fry them.
- Deep fry koftas on medium flame till golden brown.
- Koftas are ready.Now we'll make its gravy.
For Gravy
- Take 2-3 Tbsp Oil in a pan and add onion paste in it. Saute for 1 minute on high flame till golden brown.
- Now add tomato puree in it. Mix well and fry for about 1 minute on high flame.
- Now we'll add dry ingredients in it. First add Red chilli Powder, then Coriander Powder,Garam Masala, Roasted Cumin Powder and Salt. Mix well.
- Now add milk in the mixture and let it cook for few minutes by mixing it continuously.
- If the gravy is too thick then add boiled spinach water in it.
- Let the gravy boil on medium flame for few minutes and then add koftas in it. Mix well and cover it with lid.
- Spinach Kofta is ready. Serve it hot with Rice, Naan or Chapati.
