Spinach Kofta | How to make Shahi Spinach Kofta | पालक कोफ्ता



Spinach Kofta is a delicious vegetarian main course dish. Spinach kofta can be served with Roti, Naan, Paratha or rice. Its a very tasty and healthy recipe.
Ingredients:

For Kofta:

  • 1 Bowl Spinach (Chopped)
  • 3 Medium Potato (Boiled and Mashed)
  • 3 tbsp Chickpea Flour
  • 2 Tbsp Almond and Cashew nut (Chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp Raisins
  • 1 Tsp Cardamom Powder

For Gravy:

  • 2 Medium Onion, 5-6 Cloves of Garlic and 1 inch Ginger (Paste)
  • 2 Tomato (Puree)
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 Tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 Tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
  • Salt to taste

Method:

For Kofta

  1. Boil Spinach in salted water and keep aside.
  2. Take boiled spinach in a bowl and add boiled potato,chickpea flour, cardamom powder and salt. Mix well.
  3. Now apply oil on hand and spread small quantity of mixture. Place almond-cashew nuts-raisins in it and roll to form a ball.
  4. Koftas are ready. Now we'll deep fry them.
  5. Deep fry koftas on medium flame till golden brown.
  6. Koftas are ready.Now we'll make its gravy.

For Gravy

  1. Take 2-3 Tbsp Oil in a pan and add onion paste in it. Saute for 1 minute on high flame till golden brown.
  2. Now add tomato puree in it. Mix well and fry for about 1 minute on high flame.
  3. Now we'll add dry ingredients in it. First add Red chilli Powder, then Coriander Powder,Garam Masala, Roasted Cumin Powder and Salt. Mix well.
  4. Now add milk in the mixture and let it cook for few minutes by mixing it continuously.
  5. If the gravy is too thick then add boiled spinach water in it.
  6. Let the gravy boil on medium flame for few minutes and then add koftas in it. Mix well and cover it with lid.
  7. Spinach Kofta is ready. Serve it hot with Rice, Naan or Chapati.
