Ingredients:
- 1 Bowl All Purpose Flour (Maida)
- 1 Bowl Khoya/Mawa (Crumbled)
- 1 Bowl Powdered Sugar
- 2 tbsp Almond (Powdered)
- 1 Bowl Dry Coconut (Grated)
- 1 tsp Green Cardamon Powder
- 2 tbsp Oil
Method
- Mix All purpose Flour and oil in a bowl. Rub it into flour using your fingertips and mix well.
- Now knead stiff dough just like puri by adding little water at a time.
- Dough is ready. Now keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- For stuffing mix Mawa, Powdered sugar, Grated Coconut, Powdered Almonds and Green Cardamon Powder together. Mix well using hands. Stuffing is ready.
- Now we'll start making Mawa Gujiya.
- Knead the dough again and make small round balls from the dough. Now roll it using rolling pin like puri .
- Now cover the gujiya cast with dry flour and then put flattened dough on the gujiya cast. Put some mixture on it
- Apply mixture of water and flour on the sides and close and press the cast. Remove the residual dough. Open the cast and take out the gujiya.
- Cover the gujiyas with thick cloth and prepare all the gujiyas just like this.
- Heat oil in a wok and put 3-4 gujiyas at a time and fry while turning them till they turn light brown on medium flame.
- Gujiya is ready. Take it out and put them on tissue paper to remove excess oil.
- Mawa Gujiya is ready to serve. Happy Holi Everyone.
