Ingredients:
- 1 Big Bowl Fenugreek Leaves (Methi)
- 1/2 Bowl Green Peas (Matar)
- 2 Tbsp Fresh Cream (Malai)
- 2 Tomatoes
- 1 Small Onion
- 1 Green Chilli
- 4-5 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Inch piece of Ginger
Method:
- Add 1 Glass cold water in chopped fenugreek leaves. Then add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar. Keep it aside for 5-10 min so that its bitter taste gets reduced.
- Boil 1 cup water in a pan and add green peas in it. Switch of the flame and keep aside by covering it for 2-3 minutes
- Add 1-1/2 tbsp oil in hot pan and then add paste of Onion,Green Chilli,Garlic and Ginger. Mix for 1-2 minutes.
- Now add tomato puree in it and saute for 1-2 minutes on high flame.
- Now add boiled green peas in it and mix for 2-3 minutes.
- Then add fenugreek leaves and fry it for 2-3 minutes on high flame.
- Finally pour in some fresh cream and mix well for about 1 minute.
- At last add dry spices in it. (1 tsp Garam Masala, 1 tsp Black pepper powder and salt to taste. Mix well for 2-3 minutes.
- Cover the pan and let it cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame. Keep checking and mixing it in between.
- Methi Matar Malai is ready. Serve hot with paratha.
