Dry Dates Chutney | Chuara Amchoor Chutney



Ingredients:

  • 10 Dry Dates or Chuara (Soaked overnight)
  • 50 gm Jaggery
  • 2 tbsp Dry Mango Powder (Amchoor)
  • 1 tsp Dry Ginger Powder (Sauth)
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder (Jeera Powder)
  • Salt to taste


Method:

  1. Soak dry dates or chuara in lukewarm water overnight.
  2. Cut it in small pieces and make fine paste with some water.
  3. Boil 2 cups water in a pan and add dry dates paste in it.
  4. Mix well and add jaggery, dry mango powder and dry ginger powder.
  5. Mix well so that no lumps will left.
  6. Lower the flame and add dry spices (Red Chilli Powder,Salt,Garam Masala and Cumin Powder).
  7. Mix well and cook for few minutes on high flame until thick consistency.
  8. You can also add Black Salt if you want, this will enhance the flavour.
  9. Cool the chutney completely before searving and enjoy it with Dahi Bhalla, tikki or Samosa.
