Bathua Paratha or Chenopodium Paratha







Ingredients:


  • 50 gm Bathua or Chenopodium 
  • 1-1/2 Cup Wheat Flour
  • A pinch of Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Wash bathua thoroughly under water.
  • Blanch bathua leaves in 1 cup boiling water for 1-2 minutes.
  • Now blend it to form a fine paste in blender.
  • Take a bowl and take 1-1/2 cups wheat flour. Add bathua paste in it and mix well.
  • Now add garam masala and salt to taste in the mixture.
  • Knead soft dough using the same water that we've used to boil bathua leaves.
  • Now take a small lump of dough and roll small paratha.
  • Sprinkle some ghee or oil in it and fold it in triangular form and roll paratha again.
  • Now place paratha on tawa and cook it on medium/high flame by flipping it from both sides.
  • Now apply desi ghee or oil on both sides and cook it until golden brown.
  • Serve it hot with Tea,Pickle or Bathua Raita.
